Casale la Canonica is a picture-perfect property built of typical Tuscan stone and joined to the neighbouring church. This property is ideal for large families or groups and is just 3.5km from one of the five main Chianti towns Castellina.

In front of the villa is a beautiful furnished terrace and wonderful lawn with a large swimming pool surrounded by sun beds. This area is completely private and ideal to enjoy relaxing meals al fresco or just to soak up the warm Tuscan sun. A few steps away from the pool is a gazebo and barbeque area.

The Villa was formerly the priests house - which is how it takes its name - and offers spacious accommodation with 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. There are well-established pretty gardens at the property with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

The original terracotta tiled floors, ceilings and sturdy wooden beams have been retained throughout the property. All of the windows have views out across the gardens and countryside areas surrounding the property.

The main entrance hall has been converted into a study area with large writing desk and 3 chairs. Internet access is provided but you need to bring your own computer. There is a cloakroom here with WC and basin. Two corridors lead from the study area – one to three of the bedrooms and bathrooms and the other to the lounge and kitchen of the property.

The lounge is furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs, flat-screen TV with some satellite channels and open fireplace. In this area is also a large dining table and chairs. An archway takes you from the lounge into the spacious kitchen area with ‘floating island’ that can be used as a preparation area or a breakfast table; there are 4 stools around the island.

The kitchen is well appointed with American style fridge freezer, built-in oven, separate cooking hobs and extractor fan, dishwasher and coffee making machine. There is also a washing machine provided for guests use.

The three bedrooms downstairs all have en-suite bathrooms. Along the hallway to the right you go down a few steps into the first twin bedroom which has an en-suite shower, WC and basin.

On the left hand side of the hallway is a double bedroom which has an en-suite with walk-in shower, WC and basin. The last bedroom along this hallway is another twin room with spacious en-suite with bath and hand-held shower, WC and basin.

Continuing to the top of the stairs you find yourself in another hallway. From here to the left is the third twin bedroom which has an en-suite shower, WC and basin. As you move along the corridor you reach on the left another bedroom. This large bedroom has a handmade iron double bed; the en-suite bathroom is down a few steps and has a bath with hand-held shower, WC and basin.

On the right of the hallway is the large master bathroom which has a Jacuzzi corner bath, separate shower cubicle, his and hers sinks and WC.

The master bedroom is a few steps away and is enormous in size. There is a pretty wrought-iron four poster double bed, fireplace, antique wardrobe and dresser within this spacious room.

Mosquito screens are provided in the upper floor windows.
