Location address: Siena
Il Villino is an independent villa on 2 floors for a total of 220sqm. It is located 4km North of Siena, in the hills that surround the beautiful city. Sitting on top of a hill it has a fantastic panorama of the Chianti and Val d'Orcia.
To arrive at the villa you pass an electric gate and a drive lined with olive trees. In front of the villa there is covered parking for 2 cars and enough space to park another 4 cars.
On entering the villa to the left there is a wooden staircase that leads to the first floor. On this floor there is a small hall off which there is a bathroom with shower. To the right there is a double bedroom and a small single bedroom. At the end of the hall there is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.
On the ground floor to the right of the entrance there is a fully equipped kitchen that includes dishwasher, toaster, kettle and percolator. Directly in front of the entrance there is a large lounge with dining area.
Off to the left of the lounge there is a corridor that leads to 2 double bedrooms, one of which has a king size bed. There is also a single bedroom with a large single bed. Off the corridor there are 2 bathrooms, one with a bathtub and the other with a shower.
From the kitchen and lounge there are doors that lead to the large terrace and pool area. The manicured garden is surrounded by a fence and hedge for complete privacy. Dotted around the garden there are terracotta vases filled with flowers.
The terrace has a gazebo with a large table which seats 10 people. There are sun beds around the pool and on the terrace. The pool is finished in mosaic and it has Roman steps on one side.
Il Villino is well positioned on the outskirts of Siena with good access to both the historical city and to the Chianti countryside.
The owner request no pets
WIFI high speed internet connection is available in the villa for free. A computer is also provided.

The large pool is nestled in a private manicured garden that has views of the Chianti. Located just off the terrace it is an ideal place to pass the day or just cool off after a day sightseeing.
The mosaic-finished pool has roman steps to allow a comfortable entrance and exit.
It is 6x12meters and open from Mid April to Mid October.

The nearest town is Siena. There are grocery shops, restaurants, pharmacy and emergency services 1.2km away in the northern suburbs of Siena. The city center is about 4km away.

We appreciate your interest in our impressions.We enjoyed our stay at your home very much and missed your house in our second week in Cortona. Your home is beautiful and well-maintained.In particular, we liked the clean pool, the large patio tent, the well-supplied kitchen, and the beautiful view. We spent most of our time near the pool. The high-speed internet was very much appreciated because we all still had a lot of communications to handle during the trip. We appreciated the nice touches such as the flowers, the supplies of soap, the coffee maker, and the suggested wine. We really liked the Vernaccia you offered and in fact I bought some bottles at our wine shop when we returned home.
Our suggestions are small: a small list of recommended markets and restaurants with addresses would be useful.
You and your father Giovanni were most generous to us.Please thank your father for helping us in particular with the flat tire and for showing me the restaurant and store. We enjoyed talking with you and getting your advice on Italy.Thank you very much, and we hope we meet again.

Excelent overall impression, beautiful house, quit environment at only 10 minutes from center of Siena.
What were the highlights of your holiday?
Great swimming pool, very comfortable house, dreamy landscapes, great places like Siena and Pisa.Very good Italian food.

Very nice owners, fluent English speaking. Wonderful place to explore Tuscany.
Typical Tuscan house. Very quiet environment although close to Siena.

Overall impression: It was exactly what was described on the web and even better. IT would help to have better directions to the villa. Putting the hospital as a reference point would be good. We only found it the first day since I had google earthed it so many times. We actually ended up going the back way on the dirt road, but we drove right to it! Sig. Porri was helpful and directed us to the grocery store and generally kept and eye on things.
Highlights: All was great. I would rent this villa again – it had the nicest kitchen I’ve ever seen in Europe. Really nice to cook in and be in.
Unpleasant surprises: Better directions would help, but overall it was great. Putting an extra toilet paper roll in each bathroom would help. It also had a hair dryer so that was wonderful.

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
