Wil je nog graag even melden dat we een heerlijke week hebben gehad bij Teresa op La Piaggia in Lucca. Heerlijk weer een leuk huis, een zeer aardige/hulpvaardige eigenaresse
We hebben heerlijke proeverij bij haar gehad en ze heeft vrijdag voor ons pizza's gebakken in de oven bij de villa.
De meiden hebben zich prima vermaakt in het (koude) zwembad ... te koud voor de ouders, maar de dames vonden het prima ;-)
We zullen in de toekomst zeker weer een bezoek aan Toscane brengen.

What were the highlights of your stay?    The weather was great and the scenery was very beautiful. The Wine, Olive Oil & meals that Teresa De Marco gave / made for us was great. Teresa & her son Diago was very helpful in giving us suggestions and directions to various places.
What was your overall impression of the accommodation?    It was spacious, clean and had all the necessary living neccessities required for our duration. The grounds was very well kept.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises during your stay with us? No unpleasant events. Just had to get use to the driving there.
Do you have any other comments regarding the accommodation or service? I suggest that they have a screen on all windows, especially when the weather gets warm and the mosquistos start to come.

Was waren die Highlights Ihres Urlaubs? Familienfest und Familientreffen in einer wunderschönen Landschaft mit kulturellem Hintergrund, mit adäquater Wohnmöglichkeit in einer typischen Villa
Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Wir waren sehr zufrieden (Familie mit 3 erwachsenen Kindern, deren Partner und 1 Enkelkind im Alter von 6 Monaten). Theresa kümmerte sich fürsorglich um uns. Das Haus und die Lage entsprach dem aus dem Internetauftritt gewonnenen Eindruck einer gepflegten Unterkunft. Angenehm war auch die ca 500m entfernte Osteria La Fornella (davon nur 100m auf einer öffentlichen Strasse)

What were the highlights of your holiday? Theresa herself, always so helpful, & her gifts, tomatoes, wine & olive oil, & her cooked meal. And the pool.
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    Spacious, completely suitable for the 8 of us, child-friendly with lovely grounds & pool.

What were the highlights of your holiday? The owner Theresa couldn't have been more helpful, for example, reserving a table for us at a local restaurant she had recommended, as our grasp of the language wasn't conducive to a successful telephone booking! She even made us a tiramasu - delicious. Lazing by the pool, we had a beach day at Viareggio, only about 45 minutes from the villa, and easy to park - expensive but worth it for the Italian beach experience. However, we preferred the complete 'get away from it all' feeling we had at the villa, we felt we really were in rural Tuscany - phrase book essential - perfect!
what was your overall impression of the accommodation?    Fantastic - we stayed at La Piaggia. The villa was beautiful and the surroundings were stunning. The outside games room was a great hit with our children, especially in the heat of the day.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? Perhaps a little too far to walk into the village, also the road was unlit so wouldn't have been a good idea at night. However, we were able to use some bikes which were at the villa.
Do you have any other comments? Plan to eat in on Sundays - we did struggle to find a restaurant.

Dear Dympna,
We came back with some wonderful memories and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. What could you have done better?
You could have brought the sunshine to Florence on the Thursday and stopped the rain from falling so heavily. You could have warmed up Friday a little and you could have warned us just how delicious the local produce was especially the tomatoes as we munched our way through kilos of the things.
I couldn't criticise one thing and we knew the weather would be changeable because of the time of year but we did get together for a celebration and we had a fantastic time with the family. 
The property was even better than we envisaged and whilst we can all pick up on certain points e.g. a larger kitchen with more light and work surfaces would have been preferable, this is a an old property full of
character and it suited out purposes exactly.
I wouldn't recommend the use of Europcar despite the apparently cheaper prices because the wait at the collection point was very frustrating and next time we will use another supplier. By the way the recommendation
was via Thompsons and not you.
Teresa at the property was a delightful person and was extremely helpful. She cooked a meal for us on Tuesday evening and it was splendid.
Everything lived up to expectations and whilst I am not certain when we will be returning to Tuscany, when we do we will certainly be contacting your organisation at the outset. In the meantime we will not hesitate to
recommend you to others.
