Villa Le Fonti

Just returned from the villa.  Had a fantastic time.  The villa was wonderful, everything and more!  The owners were delightful and looked after us.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Will be in touch again if you go back to tuscany and we will certainly recommend your website.
Thanks for all your help.
Angela Poppleton.

Dear Michela,
Thank you for your e-mail, and the opportunity to tell you a little about
our stay in Tuscany.
We were very happy with our accommodations and the whole process of getting there.  (We have already warmly recommended To Tuscany to friends and colleagues and will continue to do so - and hopefully will ask for your services again ourselves.)  Our
holiday could not fail to be a wonderful experience in the circumstances,
and we saw much of Tuscanny and Umbria that we had not visited before.
I would also like here to commend our hosts, The Parigi Family, who could
not have been nicer or more hospitable - I just deeply regret that we do not
speak enough Italian to communicate better with them.  Nonetheless we felt
that if we needed any help we could call on them without feeling an
imposition on them.
A lovley villa, thoughtfully restored with modern amenties yet reataining a
personal, homelike quality.  Many antique and quality items of furniture and
ornamentation were present for our use giving a feeling of trust, welcome
and generosity.   Particularliy appreciated were the water and fresh milk in
the fridge, a huge bowl of fresh fruit, and a lovely fresh flower display.
The swimming pool, an essential for a hot family vaction, was a good size,
close to the house and in a lovely garden setting (also cleaned every
morning).
The Villa was easy to find thanks to good instructions and specific road
signs for the property.  From the Villa we easily found our way to and from
the nearest town, Arezzo; the bus service there was also good.  (We had the
good fortune to be on the same side of town as an 'Ipercoop' and so didin't
even have to go into Arezzo for groceries.)
Our grateful thanks to Sean and yourself.
Kind regards,
Mairead

Super, spacious, great, will definitely recommend it to others looking for a large accommodation. Kitchen was a bit basic but it didn’t hamper the holiday. And once we
got the new fridge that was great.
Just staying in that lovely house and hanging out by the pool. We had planned to do some visiting but only went out and about one day as we were happy to stay by the pool. Everyone was badly in need of a rest and a holiday and there was no better place to relax. The fact that we had our own pool was wonderful.
We had (I can’t remember their name)[Chef Andrea] in to cook on the first night and that was great also and perfect for a first night. I would definitely recommend it for those arriving on a Saturday evening as shops were then closed.
The Pirigi’s were also very welcoming (despite our late arrival) and we didn’t see them unless we needed them which was nice. Their thoughtfulness on the last evening with the cake, vino santo, pictures and book to sign went above and beyond the call of duty and was a lovely touch and much appreciated.

We loved Villa le Fonti. It was even nicer than we expected from the pictures. The grounds were spectacular also, the herbs and lime trees a nice touch. The Parigi were helpful and delightful. We also just loved the arrangement with the Enoteca Charleston to supply the villa with wine from their shop, what a great idea! Also, we thought the price for the rental was very fair.
What were the highlights of your holiday?
The pool, wine from the shop and meeting Stefano from Enoteca Charleston. Trips to neighbouring towns, especially Montalcino. The antiques market the first weekend in Arezzo, and the people in Quarata, neighbors of the villa.

Thank you for the questionnaire. We'll put a few thoughts together and fill it in over the next week.
I'd just want to say thank you now before time goes by for helping us find the place to have one of the best holidays we've ever had. Villa Le Fonti looked great in the brochure. But you managed to deliver more than that in real life. It was a spectacular place with views we had hoped for but never imagined we'd enjoy from morning till night. You didn't mention the fire flies in the garden or the cherries on the trees which we picked at regular intervals and still there were loads left for the family arriving the next week. We worked hard at eating each meal in a different part of the garden, poolside, villa and balcony just so we could really appreciate the many areas of this beautiful place. What a charming touch on the part of the Parigi Family to make us the lovely tart and home made limoncello at the end of the week. We had 4 Italian speakers with us so that gave us an opportunity to find out more about the villa and the area where we were living.
I'm sorry that my daughter isn't here to help translate the next paragraph into Italian. Perhaps you can do that for me/us.
We feel truly blessed to have spent a week in a home which the Parigis shared so generously with us.We have fallen in love with their villa. Please may we come back again next year?
With special thanks from all who stayed in Villa Le Fonti last week.

Dear Dympna
We had a fabulous holiday in Italy and the climax was staying at Villa Le Fonti. We all wished we could have stayed longer . Even though there were 12 of us and more for dinner, we never once felt we were getting on top of each other. The villa was big enough to enable us to get away from everyone if you wanted. It was well maintained with the owner coming several times to water the pot plants and clean the pool. The highlight was when Monia ( The daughter) came on Friday morning, the day of Peter's birthday, with the most
beautiful cake for the party. Her generosity certainly brought a tear to my eye.
I brought the meat for the birthday lunch at the local butcher who was so charming I told him you recommended him so he gave me some delicious sausages which we had with our entree. Admittedly I had brought a lot of meat which was so tender.
I would like to thank Linda who was so pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble and she reliably left messages when required. She always got back to me.
There was one thing that puzzled us- My daughter's luggage went missing for a while and the airline brought it to the villa the next day. Despite giving them a phone number they didnt use it and when we arrived home that day the luggage was waiting for her in the orangerie room. I'm not sure how they got
into the grounds through the closed gate
Next time we travel and need a villa or apartment I will certainly contact you. Do you have contacts for accomodation places in France or other countries?
Thankyou

Dear Dympna,
I switched on my computer with the express purpose of writing to you &
there was an email from you!
My whole family wanted to tell you what a wonderful holiday we had in
Tuscany & to thank you for making it possible. The good things were all
connected with your company & the bad things (long, long wait for car
hire at Florence airport, heat, rain, insects, not even you could have
sorted out!
We would very much like you to tell the Parigi family how much we
loved the villa - everything about it was wonderful (except the rubbish
bin in the kitchen which needs to be much bigger!) The villa was a
great mix of traditional Tuscan furnishings & very modern things with
beautiful bathrooms & everywhere spotlessly clean. The gardens were
beautiful & so well cared for & the pool was just wonderful. (We would
have felt happier with a gate at the top of the long flight of steps as
we had 2 toddlers with us). The Parigi family made us so welcome & were
very helpful, particularly in doing our first shopping (starter pack)
for us. Signora made a delicious tart for us & when we left Signor gave
all of us a print of the villa as a keepsake. We are all delighted with
our gift.
With best wishes & many thanks

Overall impression: We all loved Villa Le Fonti. We just wish we had two weeks there so that we could spend more time around the pool and villa. It was very convenient to Arezzo.
Highlights: Sunset at the villa. Dinners at the villa. Lying around the pool. Visiting Tuscan villages with our lovely tour guide, Susanna Santoni and having lunch with her in Volpaia. We would recommend her service; she even collected us at the villa. (only fits 6 passengers in the van).
It was lovely of the owners to visit us on the Friday before we left and give us a lovely jam tart and sketches of the Villa as souvenirs. As we were the last couple to leave we also saw them in Quarata and they bought us coffee and we asked about the history of the Villa.
Unpleasant surprises: The oven needed a good clean but I told the owners the day we were leaving. There is an unfriendly neighbor who lets her dog bark all day. She also calls out as if she is annoyed with having people staying next door to her home. As soon as we opened our windows in the morning, she started. Also we didn't know that the gate was on a timer and we left it open for the tour guide and it closed and locked her out so we thought she was late and she was outside waiting.
