The nearby village of Lucolena is less than ten minutes away by car, with a restaurant/ pizzeria, bar, grocery store and pharmacy. Supermarkets can be found in Figline Valdarno, while Greve in Chianti, known for its excellent restaurants, is less than half an hour away. Wine lovers can enjoy the many local wineries offering tastings, while Florence, Siena and San Gimignano make wonderful day trips.

Dating back to the 17th century, Busecchio offers a wonderfully rustic experience that guests find charming. Here, you are immersed in nature, with wild boars, porcupines, deer, foxes and black squirrels sometimes seen or heard nearby.

A large stone terrace is perfect for al fresco dining, with another table beneath an old olive tree. The lavender- and rose-filled garden offers peaceful places to relax, while the private pool, set on a lower level, has a furnished terrace and pergola right outside your doorstep.

Inside, terracotta floors, wooden-beam ceilings, whitewashed walls, colourful prints and cosy furnishings create a warm, homely atmosphere. The first floor is accessed via external stairs. Although there is no central heating, firewood is supplied free of charge for the wood-burning stove.

Busecchio is an ideal retreat for those seeking peace, privacy and a close connection with nature.
