Uva at Ceperano
Location address: Radda in Chianti - Siena
The raised terrace of Uva has irresistible views for miles over vineyards and olive groves by day and by night of the twinkling lights of the valley.

Entering up six steps Uva is all on one floor and has an independent entrance from the south East side of the villa. There is an ample kitchen diner with a living area with a comfortable sofa.

There are two lovely double bedrooms and one bathroom with shower.

The second double bedroom, like the rest of the villa, has the typical Tuscan wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floors.

There are wonderful views from this villa.
The village of Radda in Chianti is a short 5 minute walk from the villa up a steep track.  Please note that the track is not suitable for buggies or people with walking difficulties. The village can also be reached on foot using the roadway (2km walk).

Overall impression: The accommodation was perfect, plenty of room and very clean and well kept inside and out. The only slight complaint (and it is a slight complaint) is we would have liked more pillows on the beds!
Sara, the woman who seemed to run the place, was very nice and she very kindly gave us access to the internet in her office so we could listen to a very important Gaelic football match, and since our team won it was a great start to our holiday!
Highlights: Being able to laze by the pool, lots of highlights to be honest.
Unpleasant surprises: No - you had told us before hand that Radda was a short walk thru the vineyard, so we had packed a torch etc. Maybe if we didn't know this in advance it might have been a suprise.
Brian  (Accommodation: Limoni)
Overall impression: Excellent.  The Villa is well constructed and the internal furnishings are of a high standard.  The location is good as well, being a short (if uphill and through a vineyard) walk from the small town of Radda.
Highlights: Trips to Siena, Florence and SG
Unpleasant surprises: No
Colin  (Accommodation: Girasole)
Overall impression: the accommodation was great... better than i thought it would be..of course you make up a picture in your mind from what you see on the website....but you are not quite sure what you will find. so we were pleasantly surprised. thank you all.... we really enjoyed our stay. and to top it all off , the weather was perfect.
Highlights: staying close to the little town of radda, we loved just walking up into the town ( up a very steep hill) for coffee and meals in the cafes and bars etc.
and buying goods from the deli for lunch.. they were delicious .every one was really friendly and happy with our attempts at speaking the language.
after a couple of days we were only being charged the local price for coffee.
Unpleasant surprises: no , but we did get a bit of a surprise when hunters started shooting at a little deer about fifty meters from where we were staying.... and hoped they wouldnt wave their guns in our direction..but i guess it was all part of the tuscan experience.
SUSAN  (Accommodation: Uva)
Overall impression: Very nice - the villa was in a beautiful location. Our apartment combined traditional charm with updated facilities. It was clean and comfortable. Only comment would be that some more kitchen equipment would be useful - from experience this is often the case when self catering, which is frustrating as we do like to cook with local produce when on holiday and a few more sharp knives, chopping boards etc would be good! The swimming pool was great and we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves. Although it
is a short walk from the apartments this was definitely not a problem for us and, in fact, it was a pleasant stroll and a chance to enjoy the surrounding views out of the car. Sara and her family were very friendly and helpful.
Highlights: Beautiful area, lovely location of the apartment, nice village, experiencing
Italy winning the world cup final in the company of the locals in the village cinema!, gelateri tour of tuscany with our kids...............etc
Unpleasant surprises: Didn't fully appreciate before arriving how winding the roads around the area are which make for lengthy journeys to get anywhere else but it wasn't a big deal and that's part of the charm of the area - we have many similar roads in Scotland.
Elizabeth and Derek (Accommodation: Limoni)
Had everything we needed and was very comfortable and in good order. Very, very good location. As a non-driver (my wife takes care of the driving!) it was important to be reasonably close to a village and shops. Ceperano is at the foot of a vineyard just a five minute walk up through the vines to the wonderful hill-top village of Radda-in-Chianti. I very much enjoyed my early morning jogs or walks into Radda to the deli in IV Novembre Piaza to buy the bread, salami, cheese, olives and fruit for breakfast. Popping in to the chic but rustic La Bottega bar on the way back for an espresso was also part of my early morning routine. As good swimmers, my wife and two boys took full advantage of the 12 metre pool, complete with diving board. The surrounding area was just so, well, Tuscan! Vines, olives, cypress trees and hill-top villages. The restaurants at nearby Volpaia (La Bottega - 4km) and Badia a Coltibuono (6km) are essential for all who stay in the area.
John Honeyman (Accommodation: Limoni)
Just to say how much we enjoyed our stay in Radda.  The apartment was fine and the Soldani family could not be more helpful and friendly.  I'm sure we will be back there before too long.
Best wishes, John & Liz Welsh

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
