Located in the historical centre of Arcidosso (better to park your car outside the small town), this restaurant has a friendly staff that serves traditional dishes of the Monte Amiata area, such as mushroom soup and capercia (soup with spinach and ricotta cheese). The restaurant takes its name from the famous local red beer made with chestnuts and cereal grains.

The staff are friendly and casually dressed which gives it a laid back feel. The portions are generous. Recommendation for a main course is Montaione beef stew is outstanding. Good value for money. They don't take cards so make sure you have cash.

In Pontassieve the Giusti sisters, Aurora and Sara, have opened a fantastic wine bar.
Here, as well as local wines, both known and newly discovered, you can find locally made, high quality products such as condiments, jams, cookies, truffles, brandy, spumanti, oils, and also accessories for sommeliers. The Mommo is also a really warm and cozy little place where, it's not only possible to buy wines but you can also have a good drink and some snacks (crostini, pasta salad, cold meats, cheeses).
