Villa Paradiso

Villa Paradiso is a pretty, modern, Chianti villa located in the hills near Poggibonsi. From the property there are wonderful open views of the Tuscan hills in the distance.
The private, chlorine-free pool is located a few steps away from the villa across the well manicured lawn dotted with sun-beds. It is an infinity pool with an excellent view, to one side are two statues and a water feature. Next to the pool is a covered Jacuzzi.
The completely fenced and perfectly maintained garden has two furnished gazebos. One is large with a table that seats comfortably 10 people, from here there are good views. The second is smaller and closer to the pool, the table here seats 8 people. The villa is a ground floor house, the owners live on the floor above.
On entering Villa Paradiso there is a short corridor with an antique Tuscan sideboard and a large, heavily framed mirror. The floors throughout the villa are in a light coloured wood. off the corridor is the first of the bedrooms. It's the largest and is furnished with a wooden, double bed above which there is a mosquito net. To one side of the room is a simple single bed for an extra person. Finishing off the room is a wardrobe with a couple of drawers. On one side of the room is a decorative fireplace.
At the end of the hall there is a bathroom with tub and shower. Next to this is a spacious lounge. It's furnished with a large 4 seater angle sofa, a 3 seater sofa and a wall unit which has several books and a TV with Italian sky.
Continuing past the lounge there is the separate well-equipped kitchen. In the centre of the room is a wooden table with chairs for 10 people. Against one wall is a triple sofa. To one side is the kitchen unit which includes gas hobs, large fridge with separate freezer and a dishwasher. There is a small table top oven which also has a microwave function. Double glass doors lead out onto a terrace furnished with chunky bamboo sofas. Across the lawn is the gazebo for dining al fresco.
Next to the kitchen is a bathroom with shower. Across the hall from the kitchen are the other two bedrooms. The first is the smallest of the double rooms, it is furnished with a light coloured wooden bed and matching wardrobe with a couple of drawers. To one side is a simple single bed.
The third bedroom is more spacious. The double bed has a pretty mosquito net above it. There is a large wardrobe with mirror and a couple of drawers. In one corner is an iron single bed. En-suite is a bathroom with shower.
The owners live on the first floor of the villa. They are available for all assistance necessary and will be able to provide information about the area. They do not use the pool.
There is air-conditioning available throughout the villa, it costs extra.
The views are across a valley to the hills beyond, in the valley there are some warehouses.

Pool Info
The lovely, infinity pool with roman steps is located in the carefully maintained garden, surrounded by a pretty lawn, dotted with plants. There are several sun-beds in the garden and around the pool. From here there are wonderful views across the valley and of the rolling Tuscan hills beyond.
To one side of the pool there is a large Jacuzzi, surrounded by a wood and cloth covering, ideal also for the cooler evenings.
The pool is 10x5 metres and 1-1.55 metres deep. It is open from April to October.
Nearest town
Poggibonsi is about 1km away, this is a large working town with many shops, restaurants and amenities. The PAM supermarket is also open on most Sunday mornings. About 700 metres from the property there is the restaurant Diecimo Nonno.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
